Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I need to pay a registration fee?
Yes, there is a one-time registration fee charged when a new student enrolls at Unify. This fee only needs to be paid once per family, and will not be charged again if you re-enroll in the future.
What happens if my child misses a class?
If a student is absent from class, a make-up token will be automatically issued to your account. These tokens have a 30 day expiration period to schedule a makeup class in any same-level class with available space, as long as the student is currently enrolled.
How do I schedule a makeup class?
To schedule a makeup class, first login to your Parent Portal account and go to “My Account”. Click on “Makeups” to view your available tokens, then select “Use Makeup Token” to see a list of available classes. Choose your preferred class to complete the enrollment and redeem your token. If your preferred class is not visible, please contact us via phone call or email so we can assist you.
How do I drop a class?
To drop a class, parents must notify us in writing by the 25th of the month to avoid being charged for the upcoming month. Please send drop requests to [email protected].
Once tuition is processed on the 1st of the month, no full or partial refunds are given. However, we may offer up to a 50% refund in special cases if a valid reason is provided before the 5th of the month.
Why do I pay full tuition when the gym is closed for a week?
Our monthly tuition is based on an average of four weeks of classes; therefore, the rate stays the same each month regardless of holidays, closures, or how many classes fall in a given month.
What should my child wear to class?
Gymnasts should wear a leotard, step-in, or an athletic shirt that fully covers the midsection and stays in place while the athlete is upside down. Long hair must be tied back securely, and all jewelry, shoes, and socks should be removed and placed in a cubby to help prevent injury.
When should my child arrive and be picked up?
Please arrive no more than 5–10 minutes before your scheduled class time and ensure prompt pickup when class ends. If you’re running late, email us and have your child wait inside the building until you arrive to escort them out to your car.
How and when can my child advance to the next level?
We assess skills every few months using a periodic skill tree to track each child’s progress. When your child is ready to move up, they can advance at any time, and tuition will transfer seamlessly into their new class. If you have questions or feel your child might be ready to advance, we highly encourage you to chat with your child’s coach for a few minutes before or after class.
What if my child is interested in competitive gymnastics?
Recreational coaches may extend a special invitation to gymnasts who show strong skills, focus, and coachability to our competitive program, with most gymnasts invited in May. Bronze team athletes are typically recruited from Eagles, though our annual tryouts are open to all athletes interested in joining our competitive program. Pre-team athletes are typically recruited from Chickadees and Hummingbirds via coaches recommendations.
If you are in an existing competitive program, please contact [email protected].
What is your camp cancellation policy?
Camp deposits are non-refundable. Full refunds may be given if cancellation notice is received at least four weeks before the start of your camp week. After the four-week deadline, partial refunds or account credits may be offered at the discretion of the business.
