Camp Phoenix 2024

What is Camp Phoenix?

Camp Phoenix at Unify Athletics is so much more than a gymnastics camp. Participants ages 4-13 will get opportunities to explore movement and gain confidence with all the physical challenges that the gymnastics events offer, and lots of obstacle courses and outdoor games in between.

Campers will also:

    • Learn about mental and emotional well-being through changing weekly virtues themes
    • Explore the beautiful, diverse nature on our property with special guest conservationists
    • Participate in STEM activities with a guest mobile science lab
    • Create unique arts and crafts with a local artist
    • Have a blast with water games on our weekly water day (weather permitting)
The camp day runs from 9am-4pm with early drop-off and late pick-up options available (details below).

Half-day sessions (geared towards ages 4-5) run 9:00am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-4:00pm

Camp Inclusivity

Camp Phoenix offers a warm, sensitive space that strives for inclusivity. If your child would benefit from some extra cognitive, physical or emotional accompaniment, please take some time to visit our questionnaire. Once we have that initial information we will reach out for consultation, discuss our resources, and jointly determine whether we can effectively accommodate your child’s needs.

Tuition Assistance

Unify is wholly invested to supporting young individuals’ involvement in gymnastics whose only barrier to entry is financial. We have reserved a few spots for partial and full camp scholarships on a first-come, first-serve basis. If interested, please email us here with a brief description of your situation, why your child would like to participate in gymnastics, and whether you are seeking a full or partial scholarship.

Camp FAQ’s

Why is the age cut-off at 4 years old this year?
In our experience over the past couple years, the three year olds had a tough time getting through the action packed nature of even a half-day camp. Stay tuned for a special pre-k camp next year where we will designate a portion of the camp to our younger little gym stars!

What will my child miss when registered for a half day?
We will always try our best to do the “major” activities in the AM half (tie-dye, water day, etc), but there will naturally be some activities missed if not participating in a full day.

Will there be a lot of screen time?
Nope! Each week there will be one movie chosen relevant to the virtue theme of the week. That movie will be broken up in segments throughout the entire week, primarily while giving them a chance to digest their lunches. Other than that, there’s too much gymnastics fun to be had to park in front of a screen!

How do early drop-off & late pick-up work?
When registering for camp, you will run through a few questions about your child. Within those questions you will have the option to add an 8:00am drop-off ($50/wk), late pick-up ($50/wk), or both! During those times we will do arts, crafts, board games, puzzles, occasionally a movie, and other quieter activities.

Who are the instructors?
You can meet our amazing and talented staff here. Our coaches are carefully chosen, often current or former gymnasts themselves, who are dedicated to fostering a nurturing, fun, and supportive learning environment! All coaches 18+ have completed background checks and are certified through the US Center for SafeSport.
